Join PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend as a Certified Nursing Assistant on our Orthopedic Medical Unit. In this full-time role, you will provide direct patient care to orthopedic patients recovering from surgery and injury. You'll work the night shift as part of a collaborative care team, helping patients regain mobility, independence, and confidence as they progress through their recovery.
Clinical Setting
The Orthopedic Medical Unit serves patients who are recovering from orthopedic procedures and injuries. You will work alongside nurses, therapists, providers, and families to support safe healing and mobility goals. This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement, and there may be more than one opening available.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and hydration
- Help patients safely move, walk, transfer, and participate in mobility activities that support recovery
- Take and record vital signs and other patient information
- Monitor patients and promptly communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
- Support treatments and care activities as delegated by a Registered Nurse and within CNA scope of practice
- Measure and document fluid intake and output
- Stock patient rooms and care areas with supplies needed for patient care
- Accurately document patient information in the medical record
- Support smooth unit operations by answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed
- Create a positive experience for patients and families through compassionate, respectful care
Required Qualifications
- Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in an acute care or hospital setting

- Full-Time, 0.90 FTE
- Night Shift
Compensation
- Pay Range: $22.35 - $33.16 per hour
- Hiring rate is dependent upon education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, and other factors
