Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) MedSurg PRN

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a PRN (as-needed) position in Medical-Surgical nursing. As a CNA, you will provide basic nursing services under the direct supervision of professional nurses, supporting patient care across the medical-surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection services to patients as delegated by professional nurses
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served in the medical-surgical department
• Apply principles of growth and development across the life span when providing patient care
• Provide care with consideration of patients' developmental status
• Perform non-nursing support functions as part of role expectations
• Relate effectively to patients, coworkers, and peers
• Respond appropriately to constructive feedback from supervisors
• Participate in negotiating, instructing, supervising, and communicating with others as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current CNA certification listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification on first day of employment or to be assigned by the Learning Center
