As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Medical/Surgical department, you will provide direct nursing care to patients of all ages and support services to licensed personnel. You will work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential, interacting with patients, families, visitors, employees, volunteers, administration, and physicians. This casual position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care each day.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under the direction of licensed personnel
- Support licensed nursing staff with patient care activities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Follow instructions from licensed personnel and work cooperatively with colleagues
- Exercise initiative and judgment in providing patient support services
Schedule
- Casual employment (less than 32 hours biweekly)
Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a CNA with the Minnesota registry or registry eligibility at time of hire
- Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification at time of hire, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Must be on the Minnesota Nursing Registry within 1 year of working as a CNA
- Minnesota Nursing Registry renewals must be verified as active 6 months from expiration date
Compensation
- Hourly wage range: $19.05-$25.88
- Final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations
