Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA-Mason Pointe-FT-Evening

Mason Pointe is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the evening shift. In this role, you will provide daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate, person-centered environment. You will work as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team, supporting residents' dignity, independence, and involvement in their own care decisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' comfort and provide physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice
• Answer resident call lights and requests promptly; report observations of residents to the nurse
• Handle residents' personal care needs in a timely manner while supporting their dignity and independence
• Observe residents closely to identify changing needs and conditions; report information to nursing staff
• Actively participate in residents' care and service plans to improve their quality of life
• Assist residents during mealtimes and provide full feeding assistance when needed
• Create and maintain meaningful relationships with residents and their families; provide compassionate, professional support
• Support residents' involvement in decision-making regarding their daily activities
• Assist with residents' therapies and treatments under the direction of licensed staff
• Document care provided in clinical records
• Maintain a clean and safe environment

Required Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Missouri, Illinois, or Pennsylvania)
• For Pennsylvania: Enrollment or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of a Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation program on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry
• Ability to communicate with residents

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with direct patient or resident care

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand and walk regularly; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk and hear. You will frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull 45 pounds. Occasional climbing or balancing may be required.

• Evening shift assignment
• Well-lighted, ventilated work area with temperature control
• Potential exposure to emotionally upset residents or family members
• May be required to work beyond normal hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary
• Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, infectious waste, and communicable diseases including AIDS and Hepatitis B (standard precautions apply)
• Appropriate ergonomic and personal safety equipment provided as needed

Schedule and Shift

• Full-time, evening shift
• Eligible for shift differentials: $1.50/hour for evenings; $1.00/hour for nights; $1.00/hour for weekends (Illinois and Missouri; may vary in other states)

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay grade 09: $16.20/hour to $25.15/hour
