The opportunity

Job Description

The Forensic Nursing Home (FNH) is a licensed facility providing full nursing care for individuals on medical release from prison, those residing in the Forensic Mental Health Program, or those in the Minnesota Sex Offender program. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of licensed nursing staff.

Clinical Setting

The Forensic Nursing Home is regulated by the Minnesota Department of Health and focuses on providing compassionate care that respects each resident's unique background and past trauma.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living
  • Monitor residents' physical and mental health
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment
  • Provide care under the direction of licensed nursing staff

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current CNA Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior healthcare experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma
  • Experience collaborating across diverse backgrounds and cultures

Schedule

  • Full-time, unlimited position
  • Rotating shift (Days/Evenings)
  • Days of work vary and include weekends and holidays
  • No telework
  • No travel required

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $25.18 - $32.23
  • Annual salary: $52,575 - $67,296
  • Hiring bonus up to $2,500 available

Additional Requirements

  • Direct Care and Treatment will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and criminal background check prior to appointment
  • Documentation of freedom from tuberculosis (TB) through blood test required prior to employment (TB skin testing is not accepted)
