The opportunity

Job Description

The Pearl at Kruse Way in Lake Oswego is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents on the evening shift. You will work as part of a nursing team in a residential care setting, supporting residents with their personal care needs and helping them maintain comfort and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Check residents routinely to ensure personal care needs are being met according to their preferences
  • Review resident care plans daily to identify any changes in daily care routines
  • Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in resident condition so appropriate information can be entered into care plans
  • Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activities and social programs
  • Transport residents to and from appointments
  • Prepare and maintain residents' rooms to ensure comfort
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, and enthusiasm
  • Effectively communicate resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and administration
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies

Schedule

  • Evening shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday
  • Full-time position

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (10th grade education or above)
  • Current state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Active CPR/BLS certification, which must be maintained throughout employment
