Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Clifton Springs Nursing Home (Part-Time Evenings)

Clifton Springs Nursing Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality, individualized patient care in collaboration with the nursing team. This part-time evening position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on resident well-being in a long-term care setting.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm
• Every other weekend
• 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide and assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in individualized care plans
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed
• Provide leisure activities and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain a clean and safe resident environment
• Respond to resident requests in a timely manner
• Communicate effectively with families and direct them to appropriate professional staff
• Receive and give reports to team members and team leaders
• Perform evaluation and reporting as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Currently certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the New York State Office of Professions
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow both verbal and written instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

This is a moderate clinical role requiring continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20 to 50 pounds. You will frequently bend, twist, and reach while performing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. The role involves monitoring patient status, responding to alarms and safety concerns, decision-making under pressure, and responding to emergencies. You may be exposed to infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $19.50 to $22.00
• Sign-on bonus up to $2,250
