Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Candlewood Valley Health and Rehab in New Milford, Connecticut is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and support to residents in our facility. As a CNA, you will assist with daily living activities and help maintain a safe, clean environment while working collaboratively with licensed staff and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide personalized care and attention to residents' physical and emotional needs
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to licensed staff
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices

Required Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Connecticut
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
