Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care in our Syracuse, NY facility. You will work with residents in a rehabilitation and nursing center setting, assisting with daily activities and supporting the nursing team in delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents and report any health issues to the supervising nurse
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bed baths and shaving
• Set up meal trays and document food and fluid intake
• Feed residents and serve nutritional supplements
• Make beds and maintain residents' living spaces in clean, tidy condition
• Transport residents within the facility
• Turn bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and facility data

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of a CNA program
• Current New York State CNA certification
• Recent CNA experience
• Good standing with New York State Registry
• Ability to work as a team member

Compensation and Shifts

Base rate is $20.45 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $25.49 based on shift selection.

Shift Differentials

• Evening shift: 10% differential plus $1.00 add-on
• Overnight shift: 10% differential
• Any weekend shift: $1.00 add-on
• No frills shift: $1.00 add-on
