We are hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for the AM shift to provide outstanding patient care and physical support to patients and residents on a daily basis. In this role, you will work as part of a growing team committed to delivering quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and respond to patient calls, determining the best way to assist
- Provide physical support for patients and residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, toileting, walking, standing, and exercising
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients
- Ensure patients receive appropriate meals by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences
- Obtain information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions, treatment plans, and suggested activities
- Measure and record food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff
- Record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested
- Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, such as open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine
- Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements
- Document observations of patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms for nursing staff
- Maintain current knowledge of CNA training, facility policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Nursing degree from a recognized CNA program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current identification
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Comfortable using a computer
- Excellent personal hygiene
