Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – 3 South (Per Diem)

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the 3 South unit on a per diem basis, working night shifts. In this role, you will provide direct personal care to patients, maintain their physical comfort, and work under the supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff. You may also be assigned sitter duties as needed. Staff may be floated to other areas based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and maintain patient physical comfort
• Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff
• Perform sitter duties as assigned
• Support acute care operations on a busy unit

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency, or current enrollment in a co-op program with completion of high school diploma within 6 months
• Current Massachusetts Certified Nurse Assistant license, EMT license, or current enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire
• Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with a busy acute care environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience

Schedule

• Per diem position with varied hours and shifts according to operational needs
• Night shift

Compensation

• Pay range: $18.81 - $33.00 per hour
• This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Influenza vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
