Certified Nursing Assistant

BrightStar Care of Greater Waukesha and Lake Country is seeking a Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential hands-on support to patients in their homes. This role focuses on helping patients maintain comfort, independence, and safety while receiving care in their own environment.

Clinical Setting

This position serves patients throughout Waukesha County and Lake Country in a home health setting. You will work independently in patients' homes, providing direct personal care and support with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
• Support activities of daily living such as meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation
• Ensure a safe, clean environment for each patient

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin CNA certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Auto insurance
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in the home setting
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification
• Experience in home health or caregiving
• Ability to work around pets

Employment Type and Schedule

This position is available as Full-Time or Part-Time with flexible shifts.

Compensation

• Hourly pay: $18-$20 per hour
• Weekly pay with daily pay options available
• Mileage reimbursement
