Memphis-based health system seeks a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical care to cardiac patients in collaboration with physician sponsors and interdisciplinary teams. This Advanced Practice Nurse role combines direct patient care, clinical leadership, staff education, and evidence-based practice improvement to enhance patient outcomes across the cardiology service line.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced direct and indirect patient care to individual patients, families, and patient populations in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Assess, design, implement, and evaluate population-based programs of patient care to enhance high-quality, cost-effective outcomes
  • Establish and lead staff education programs addressing the specific needs of cardiac patient populations
  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership with researchers and health professionals to generate knowledge and implement practice changes based on research findings and quality improvement results
  • Provide clinical leadership in meeting system, organizational, division, and departmental goals
  • Demonstrate accountability for professional responsibilities and ongoing self-development

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • General nursing clinical practice at the RN level: 3-5 years
  • Advanced Practice Nurse license from Tennessee Board of Nursing
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification from American Nurses Credentialing Center
  • Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse license from Tennessee Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications
