Board Certified Interventional Radiologist

Posterity Group LLC, a veteran-owned, service-disabled small business, is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide onsite services at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE, 2,080 hours annually) focused on interventional radiology procedures, imaging interpretation, and physician-level clinical responsibilities within the VA healthcare system.

Clinical Setting

You will work at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, a federal government healthcare facility serving veteran patients. The role involves both clinical interventional radiology procedures and diagnostic imaging interpretation using advanced PACS and voice recognition systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures and provide timely interpretation and communication of imaging results
• Enter imaging results into the digital medical record and provide verbal notification of critical findings
• Provide consultation services, comparative reports, and participate in clinical conferences and committees as requested by referring physicians
• Ensure overall safety of imaging patients, including oversight of contrast administration and response to adverse patient reactions
• Review imaging requests and ensure appropriate imaging protocols, preparations, and medications have been ordered
• Assist, train, supervise, and mentor radiology residents in the performance of procedures and interpretation of studies
• Provide education and training to members of the medical staff through conferences, committees, and lecture series
• Participate in quality control and quality management activities, including department and hospital-level peer reviews
• May be assigned administrative or managerial responsibilities through participation in clinical, educational, and administrative committees, task groups, or special projects

Schedule

• Full-time onsite services Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 16:30
• On-call coverage during WHEN hours (Weekend, Holiday, Evening, and Night hours): 16:30 to 08:00 on weekdays and full weekend coverage from 16:30 Friday through 08:00 Monday

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree (DO) from a school approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification

Compensation

• Salary range: $390,000 to $575,000 annually
