The opportunity

Job Description

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for private duty nursing care of a teenager attending high school. This is a daytime position (7am-7pm) providing care for a low-acuity patient with a feeding tube and medication administration needs.

Clinical Setting

  • Private duty home-based nursing
  • Patient attends high school during scheduled hours
  • Low-acuity patient population

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care including feeding tube management and medication administration
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve clinical outcomes
  • Complete electronic documentation using tablet-based system provided in patient's home

Schedule

  • Days: 7am-7pm
  • Patient attends high school during this time
  • Flexible scheduling available (full-time, part-time, or PRN)

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state where you will practice
  • If holding a compact license, it must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
  • Current CPR certification with hands-on component (Aveanna can assist in obtaining this after hire if necessary)
  • TB skin test current within the last 12 months
  • Reliable transportation
  • Compliance with all health-related requirements in your jurisdiction, including required vaccinations and testing, subject to exemptions for medical or religious reasons

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of prior hands-on nursing experience
