Sanford Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Urology department at Bemidji Main Clinic in Bemidji, Minnesota. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering the opportunity to provide advanced nursing care to patients with urologic conditions in a busy, collaborative practice setting.

You will work alongside experienced urology physicians and an established urology NP team, with the opportunity to help develop and expand the urology service. The practice features a newly remodeled clinical space designed to support efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience, with strong support from nursing, clinical, scheduling, and administrative teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive urologic assessments including history, physical exams, and specialized testing
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as urodynamics, pelvic ultrasounds, and MRI scans
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including conservative and surgical treatment approaches
  • Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing urologic procedures
  • Perform office-based procedures such as pessary fittings, bladder scans, and catheterizations
  • Provide patient education on urologic conditions, bladder health, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pelvic floor physical therapists, colorectal specialists, and other healthcare providers
  • Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records
  • Participate in research, quality improvement, and patient education initiatives within the urology specialty

Clinical Setting

Bemidji Main Clinic is part of Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States. The urology practice is expanding and offers autonomous practice with the opportunity to utilize your full scope of practice and clinical expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practice
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice
  • State Controlled Substance License (if required by state)
  • National board certification as Women's Health (WHNP-BC), Family (FNP-BC or FNP-C), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP-BC or A-GNP), or Adult (ANP-C)
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required specific competencies and certifications as outlined on privilege form

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or specialized training in urology or related pelvic floor disorders
  • If APRN was licensed prior to August 1, 1995, master's degree in nursing is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with a production-based compensation model that rewards productivity and clinical contribution.

Annual compensation range (based on 1.0 FTE): $97,461 to $173,356. Actual compensation offers may vary based on education, training, certification, experience, scope of practice, and expected job requirements.
