Ambulatory Sawgrass- Operating Room Registered Nurse , 2

The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Sawgrass facility. This position provides perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in both scrub and circulating roles, supporting safe and efficient surgical operations in a dynamic, high-quality clinical environment.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the Sawgrass Operating Room, a community-based surgical facility operated by the University of Rochester. The department maintains a commitment to high-quality, efficient patient care and values effective teamwork and communication among perioperative personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative patient care in both scrub and circulating roles
• Assist in room preparation for the next surgical day
• Coordinate activities of perioperative personnel to ensure safe patient care
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services
• Assume expanded roles as needed, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of Operating Room experience
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 scheduled weekly hours
• Day shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Staggered shifts available

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $38.76 - $52.33
• Individual salaries will be determined based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations
