Aesthetic Nurse Extern

Serotonin Anti-Aging Centers is seeking an Aesthetic Nurse Extern to join our team in Naperville, Illinois. This unpaid externship is designed for nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who are interested in building a career in medical aesthetics and wellness. You will work directly with experienced aesthetic nurses and medical professionals in a clinical setting focused on anti-aging treatments and aesthetic services.

This externship provides hands-on experience and mentorship in the medical aesthetics industry, with the potential for employment with Serotonin Centers upon graduation, depending on qualifications, performance, and available positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed medical professionals with patient preparation and room setup
• Observe and assist with aesthetic and wellness treatments as permitted by applicable Illinois law, clinic policies, and your training and authorization
• Assist with patient intake, documentation, and follow-up tasks as authorized
• Educate patients on general services, treatment preparation, and aftercare under appropriate supervision
• Support daily clinic operations and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Assist with social media content, recording, and before and after photography
• Assist with event planning and participate in events
• Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program
• Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Subject to background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or wellness
• Knowledge of skincare trends, products, and treatments
• Prior sales experience and willingness to upsell skincare products
• Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism

Education

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required
