Advanced Practice Professional- Nurse Practitioner

This Advanced Practice Professional position is a full-time role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary and acute care services in a clinic setting. You will assess, treat, and manage patients while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and health potential, planning and evaluating healthcare needs for patients and families
• Perform history and physical examinations, recording clinical data accurately
• Identify normal and abnormal findings, consulting with physicians to determine treatment plans
• Plan, manage, and evaluate therapeutic regimens in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team members
• Perform clinical and therapeutic procedures as appropriate
• Assess patient growth and development
• Educate and counsel patients regarding current health status, illness signs and symptoms, and health maintenance
• Assume a leadership role in developing nursing care policies and procedures for the unit
• Assist with planning and monitoring quality improvement and control activities
• Maintain and document all required continuing education
• Demonstrate positive customer service and professional relationships with colleagues
• Comply with attendance policies and participate in continuous quality improvement activities
• Perform work in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with departmental scheduling policies, including overtime and on-call situations
• Follow all organizational and departmental policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license OR Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required within 1 year of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 30 days of hire
• Demonstrated competency in obtaining and interpreting patient information
• Knowledge of growth and development
• Understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patient population served

Education

• Master's Degree (required)
• Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program
