Acute Care Nurse Practitioner-GYN/Menopause (Experience Preferred)

This position is for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in gynecology and menopause care. You will provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in an acute care setting, with responsibilities spanning both inpatient rounds and ambulatory/telehealth visits.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations
• Initiate, document, and communicate plans of care with follow-up to ensure complete screening and patient preparation
• Perform daily patient rounds
• Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
• Interpret laboratory and test results
• Confer with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure optimal quality of patient care
• Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts
• Inform patients of necessary post-discharge care instructions
• Participate in performance improvement, research, and educational activities

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program
• National Board Certification in specialty area
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• Collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education OR collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015
• Current BLS certification

• Flexibility with hours and weekend availability
