AC3 Pulmonology Procedure Registered Nurse level 2 - 3

Join the University of Rochester's nationally recognized academic pulmonary division as an AC3 Pulmonology Procedure Registered Nurse. This full-time position is based in the Adult Ambulatory Pulmonary Procedure Suite, where you will provide specialized nursing care for both inpatient and outpatient pulmonary patients undergoing moderate sedation and general anesthesia interventional bronchoscopies.

Clinical Setting

You will work within an interdisciplinary pulmonary team in a procedure-focused environment. The role combines pre-procedure assessment, intra-procedure management, and post-procedure recovery and discharge responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established nursing standards
• Manage pre-procedure work-up for pulmonary procedure patients
• Deliver intra-procedure nursing care during interventional bronchoscopies
• Manage post-procedure recovery and coordinate patient discharge
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services
• Assume expanded responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member roles as appropriate
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in daily patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care experience

Schedule

• Full-time position, 40 scheduled hours per week
• Primarily day shift, 8-hour shifts
• No weekends or holidays

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $38.76 - $52.33
• Individual salaries will be determined based on market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations
