Job Description
Baptist Health Corbin is accepting applications for the 2027 Nurse Extern Program, a paid 10-week clinical education experience designed for nursing students. This program provides hands-on hospital experience working alongside experienced nursing professionals in a supportive clinical environment, allowing you to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, expand nursing knowledge, and experience the Baptist Health Corbin nursing team before beginning your career as a Registered Nurse.
Program Overview
The Nurse Extern Program is open to ADN and BSN nursing students who are enrolled in or entering the final semester of an accredited nursing program. In addition to paid participation, the program includes payment of in-state tuition, reflecting Baptist Health Corbin's commitment to developing and supporting future nursing professionals.
Program Requirements
- Enrolled in or entering the final semester of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Current school transcript
- Successful completion of all applicable program and employment requirements
