Mary Washington Healthcare is recruiting upcoming registered nurse graduates for future RN opportunities across their healthcare system. This is a new graduate nurse residency program designed to support your transition into professional nursing practice.
Program Overview
Mary Washington Healthcare partners with Vizient to offer an evidence-based nurse residency program. The program includes:
- Evidence-based Vizient curriculum with interactive learning and peer support
- Flexible start dates offered throughout the year
- Unit-based orientation with dedicated preceptors
- Monthly seminars focused on clinical and professional development
- Comprehensive onboarding, including hospital and Epic training
- Ongoing mentorship and support from clinical leaders and educators

Licenses and Certifications
- Virginia RN license required prior to start date (not required at time of application)
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking and standing (67-100% of workday)
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting (34-66% of workday)
- Ability to lift 35 lbs and push/pull 20 lbs
- Auditory and visual skills including color determination
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to reach overhead

- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Clinical positions in Mary Washington Home Health and/or Hospice must also meet driving requirements
Compensation
- Pay range: $39.40 - $51.17 per hour
- Compensation will depend on education, specialty, and experience
